The Philips remote event marker is an accessory used with the Philips Avalon fetal monitor (Philips FM20, FM30 and FM50). This cable comes with a 8-Pin D-Shaped connector, which connects to the fetal monitor. The cable is used to mark particular events in time to be recorded either on the paper strip printed out by the monitor or to record events electronically through interfacing the Philips Avalon with an EMR system.
